THE Holy Synod of its Holy Church Cyprus in a statement he draws the attention of Christians and urges them to avoid any relationship with the “alleged saintly elder Savvas Lavriotis”, a former monk of Mount Athos, who has expelled from the Holy Monastery of the Great Lavra of Mount Athos where he was isolated, inasmuch as he had placed himself outside the Church, coming into opposition to its Professor Monastery and with the whole brotherhood.
As mentioned, Savvas Lavriotis preaches anti-Orthodox teachings and fallacies.
“After his dismissal from Mount Athos, the above continues to abuse his title “Saint” and “Laurioti” monk, and travels around preaching disobedience to the Church and departure from it.”
As pointed out in the same announcement: “The rosary in question DOES NOT BELONG TO THE CHURCH, AS NO ORTHODOX BISHOP REMEMBERS, and his action in Cyprus is not only ecclesiastical but also nationally dangerous».
