WhatsApp, in fact, it has announced the debut of two new options that will allow you to empty conversations even just after 24 hours The 90 days: so far ephemeral messages were removed after seven days and there was no possibility to change this deadline. With the new update, however, simply open the WhatsApp settings and then go to Account > Privacy and tap on Default message timer then set the maximum duration for which the chats will be kept. Obviously, it is possible to activate the functionality as default for all new individual conversations: «If you decide to activate ephemeral messages by default, we will show a warning within the new chats to inform your interlocutors of your choice. And if you change your mind, deactivating the setting is as easy as activating it »explains the service team on the support pages dedicated to feature specifying that it cannot be enabled without the knowledge of the other interlocutor.

Although the novelty has already been released, it may not be immediately available on all devices: in this case, it is advisable to update WhatsApp to the latest version and wait for the propagation of the update to complete during the next few days.
