Kiaha, 24, decided to date a guy she met on a dating app. According to Daily Mail, first they went to dinner, but since things were going well, they decided to go to the movies. As they were about to get in the car, Kiaha remembers his intuition telling her not to, but he ignored it. Almost as soon as they left the parking lot, a car hit them at high speed, right on the side where she was traveling.

I remember sitting in the car, seeing the headlights coming at me and thinking, ‘This is the end.’ I woke up and my eyes were burning because blood was dripping in them, and I could hear a loud noise when they opened the car. I tried to get out of the car and realized that I was hurt. She hurt so much that I passed out again.

The woman was rushed to a hospital, where she remembers that at times she would wake up, but the pain was so intense that she would faint again, as her pelvis and several ribs had been broken, and her leg was completely destroyed, so she was immediately subjected to to reconstructive surgery.

I remember coming out of surgery in excruciating pain and devastated when the doctors told me I might not be able to walk properly again.

After experiencing terrible moments in the hospital, Kiaha was able to return home, but she was condemned to remain in a wheelchair and depend on her parents for everything. It took a long year for her, with a lot of effort, little by little she managed to recover and she could walk again.

In addition, with the very high hospital expenses, the young woman had to declare bankruptcy. On the other hand, the boy she went out with on that traumatic date called her to apologize, because he lied about her age when he told her that she was 24 years old when she was only 19 and did not have much driving experience.
