Hamas denounces “dangerous escalation” of war after Israel attack on school with more than 100 dead

The Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, which has been in power in the Gaza Strip since 2007, today denounced the “dangerous escalation” of the war waged by Israel’s armed forces in the besieged enclave for the 309th day, hours after three school bombings this morning which claimed the lives of over a hundred people. “The massacre at al-Tabin school (…) is a horrific crime” and represents a “dangerous escalation,” Hamas said in a statement. Today’s attack is among the deadliest strikes launched by the Israeli armed forces in the Gaza Strip since the war broke out on October 7, triggered by an unprecedented incursion by the Palestinian Islamist movement’s military arm into the southern part of the Israeli territory.
