Hamas' health ministry claims dozens of Palestinians have been killed, some of them “executed” in the middle of the road, during the Israeli army's ground operations in the Jabaliya area of the northern Gaza Strip.

The Israeli military, when asked about the matter by AFP, did not specifically respond to these accusations. AFP television footage showed a body under debris in the streets of Jambaliya and massive destruction in various parts of the city. Videos broadcast by local media, which AFP was unable to verify, showed decomposing corpses on the streets of Jambaliya.
In Beit Lahia, in the north, the civil protection service said it found “dozens of decomposing bodies” today. Most of the victims were “executed in the street and then eaten by dogs,” he added.
The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights on Wednesday asked Israel to launch an investigation into “the possible commission of a war crime” by the Israeli army after receiving “disturbing information” about the deaths of eleven unarmed Palestinians in Gaza City.
