Hamas claimed responsibility for the twin attack in Tel Aviv

THE Hamas took over, according to its publication Jerusalem Postthe responsibility for the double attack in his Raanana Tel Aviv on Monday afternoon, which claimed the life of a woman.

Particularly, a woman was attacked with a knife, while several pedestrians were swept away by a car. The attacker changed vehicles three times after the crash, police said. They are Muhammad Zaidat, 44, and Ahmed Zaidat, 24, who were arrested.

The chronicle of the double attack

One woman was killed and at least 17 other people were injured today in a car attack that crashed into pedestrians in Ra'anana (central Israel), rescue services and Israeli police said.

The head of the Israeli police, Kobi Sabtai, explained to reporters at the scene that “the two perpetrators of the attack are related, they are residents of the (Palestinian) territories, who arrived illegally” at the site of the attack.

According to police, they live in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, and are suspected of stealing a car before hitting passers-by in various parts of this Tel Aviv suburb.

THE Sin Bet, the internal security service, for its part, clarified in a statement that it is interrogating the two suspects, aged 25 and 44.

The Meir Hospital of Kfar Saba reported, according to APE-MPE, that a woman “who had been injured, was admitted in critical condition and died despite resuscitation efforts”.

The rescue services spoke for their part about an account at least 17 injured, two of them in serious condition. Six children are hospitalized, according to medical services.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, who lives in Ra'anana, said from the scene of the attack that “the fight against terrorism requires determination.”
