The quintessence of evil, the sick drift of a mind programmed to kill and leave death and destruction behind. Forty-one years after the first film, the saga of Halloween resumes with the second chapter of the new trilogy signed by David Gordon Green which, after the success of the first film released in 2018, returns to the cinema on October 21st. The film is Halloween Kills, was premiered at the Venice Film Festival, which also awarded its protagonist, Jamie Lee Curtis, with the Lion for Lifetime Achievement, and continues to tell the homicidal madness of Michael Myers, one of the most ferocious and iconic killers in cinema, and the attempts of Laurie Strode, played by Curtis, to stop him.
The story picks up where it left off three years ago: we left Laurie (Curtis), her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) triumphant. They had managed to trap Michael in Laurie’s dungeon, setting fire to the whole house. We discover, however, that things did not go as the women hoped: despite expectations, the killer is still alive and well, ready to kill again. As Laurie struggles between life and death in the hospital, it is up to Haddonfielders to rebel to defeat the monster they have lived with for more than forty years.

The Strodes and the survivors of Michael’s first massacre join forces to take matters into their own hands and try to defeat the enemy once and for all. We will not tell you how it will end, although it is certain that Halloween Kills it will make you jump out of your chair several times giving endless twists and blood red stains. Produced by Universal Pictures, Miramax and Blumhouse, Halloween Kills, which also sees in the cast Thomas Mann, Anthony Michael Hall and Kyle Richards, is preparing to replicate the result of 2018, if not to surpass it. Based on the characters created by John Carpenter and Debra Hill, this new trilogy tries to introduce young people to one of the myths of horror in cinema by focusing on adrenaline and suspense: an affinity that director David Gordon Green handles with great skill.
