Hackers break into the system and display porn videos at Santos Dumont airport, in Rio

After a hacker attack suffered by the company that runs advertisements on totems at Santos Dumont airport, this Friday (27), videos from a pornography site were shown on some of the totems at the site.

Infraero reported, however, that the attack did not jeopardize the flight information system, since the media monitors “are the responsibility of the companies that exploit advertising, which use logical networks and their own dissemination systems”.

According to the company responsible for operating Santos Dumont airport, in a press release, legal measures have already been taken.

“Upon becoming aware of the improper publication on one of the advertising monitors at Santos Dumont Airport, Infraero took the appropriate legal measures, registering a police report and reporting it to the Federal Police, as well as notifying the outsourced company responsible for its management to take action regarding the security of the information conveyed in media totems this Friday”.

Infraero also communicated that, given what happened, the affected monitors were disconnected.

“In this sense, reinforcing its commitment to the safety of its passengers, we inform you that the monitors related to the case will remain turned off in our airport network until their reliability is guaranteed by the media exploiting company,” the company said.
