Hacker Euler urges not to steal cryptocurrency

The hacker who robbed the Euler Finance DeFi platform 2 months ago is again addressed to the community. By tradition, he did this through encrypted messages in transactions. And he started with a simple “Hello” in Spanish.

The mysterious hacker went on to write that he dedicates his message to “all the wonderful people who are all Argentines.” He advises hackers to return the stolen cryptocurrency in exchange for bounty rewards. That will be fair.

“If there is an Argentinean hacker and peronist in the world, then it is none other than me. My advice to newbie hackers: don’t be stupid, don’t steal, take the reward”

In the last message, the man left a cryptic warning: “Choose well in October, we are going with everyone.” He is probably referring to the upcoming elections in Argentina.

Previously, journalists have already put forward the theory that the Euler Finance cracker hails from this country. Otherwise, why did he send a donation of 100 ETH ($130,000 at the then exchange rate) to the Argentine developer Solidity.

The hacker also calls himself a peronist. This is an Argentine political ideology, which is interpreted as an alternative to neoliberalism.

Recall that the cracker himself observes the code of honor of real hackers. In April, he returned Euler Finance 90% of what was stolen, and left 10% as a reward for found bugs and vulnerabilities. This is standard practice among cyber professionals.
