A North Texas drone demonstration company broke a Guinness World Record by using 4,981 drones to create the image of a gingerbread village in the sky. The holiday-themed show by Coppell-based Sky Elements Drone Shows and UVify used 4,981 drones to create a series of Christmas-themed images, including Santa Claus and various snowmen, in the sky above from Mansfield. Guinness World Records confirmed that the show set a new record for the longest aerial display of a gingerbread village created by polyrotors/drones. “Sky Elements” broke a Guinness World Record earlier this year for the longest aerial presentation of a fictional character formed by drones.
