Gucci, the Signoria Rosso Ancora slingbacks become a symbol of the fight against femicide

The Gucci Signoria slingbacks they made their debut last September, on the occasion of Sabato De Sarno’s first fashion show as creative director of the maison Gucci, and today, in the Rosso Ancora variantare transformed into a symbol of the fight against femicide.

Starting from International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, on November 25th, until the end of the year, the maison has in fact decided to donate part of the proceeds from sales and pre-orders of the beloved patent leather shoes to the Casa delle Donne – a place for meeting and discussion on gender equality and rights which will be inaugurated soon in Florence. This initiative coincides with the sixth edition of the Festival Women’s Legacywhich will be held in Florence from 24 to 26 November, an event that promotes female empowerment and which Gucci has supported since its inception.

Part of the proceeds from sales and pre-orders of the slingbacks will go to contribute to a larger donation that Gucci will allocate to Nosotras Onlusan association that is playing a fundamental role in the establishment of the ambitious de project The Women’s House in Florence. Designed as a meeting place, discussion for individual women, professionals or students, travelers or sedentary, associations and non-profit organizations all united and committed to the defense and promotion of women’s rights, the Women’s House will be a unique space resulting from a bottom-up co-planning method where women will provide knowledge and commitment with the aim of creating new empowerment.
