Green Pass: the new rules in effect from today

Even more restrictive measures for those who are not vaccinated from now on. The new rules come into force on Monday 10 January which prevent those who do not have the reinforced Green Pass, the one that is obtained only with vaccination and recovery, not with a negative swab, a series of activities. The new school supervision rules also come into force with the return to school.

Transport

You need the Super Green Pass for long-distance transport, but also for local public transport: therefore trains and airplanes in Italy, but also buses and metro. To take all the means it is necessary to have, from 12 years of age, the mask Ffp2. Until 10 February an exemption was granted for the inhabitants of the smaller islands. You do not need the Green Pass for school buses where there is only the obligation to wear Ffp2 masks.

For international flights, the rules of the country of destination apply. Without vaccination, you can travel by own means or by taxi.

Hotels

Another novelty: for all accommodation facilities, hotels and bed and breakfasts, the strengthened certificate is required. It will also be used for the restaurants inside the hotels, which have so far been exempt. There are no restrictions if you are renting a private house.

Bars and restaurants

You need the reinforced Green Pass for any drink. With the basic Green Pass you can only take away.

Ceremonies

Only healed and vaccinated at parties after a wedding or other ceremony.

Sport

Swimming pools and gyms are off limits for those who do not have a reinforced Green Pass. You need the Enhanced Pass to play team sports and activities in indoor and outdoor sports centers and clubs. Some contact sports such as martial arts are only allowed outdoors with a basic Green Pass. You need the enhanced certificate to enter the changing rooms and to access the ski lifts.

Exhibitions and museums

After cinemas and theaters, it’s up to exhibitions, museums and libraries. Everyone needs the Super Green Pass.

Congresses, fairs and festivals

Also for all these activities, including those carried out outdoors, certification with vaccination or recovery is required.

Wellness centers, game rooms, amusement parks

Those over 12 years old must have enhanced green certification for spas, excluding medical prescriptions. The same goes for amusement and theme parks, cultural, social and recreational centers and all kinds of arcades, betting, bingo and casinos.

Hairdressers

The rules change starting from January 20 for hairdressers, barbers, beauticians and personal service centers. Only from that date will the reinforced Green Pass be needed.

Shops and banks

From February 1st, the certificate obtained with vaccination or recovery is needed for offices and shops. We await the list of essential ones in which the basic Green Pass will suffice.
