Great attack with Russian drones reaches east of Ukraine

A Russian attack with drones killed two people and injured at least 16 on Wednesday night (16) in the city of Dnipro, in southeastern Ukraine.

Serhiy Lysak, governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region, wrote in the telegram messaging app that a young woman and an elderly woman were killed.

Lysak stated that among the 16 people who were injured, are children 11 and 6, as well as a nine -month -old baby. Five people are being treated at the hospital.

The attack triggered several fires in the region.

The mayor of Dnipro, Borys Filatov, said the action with drones reached an area located 100 meters from the municipal offices. He also stated that at least 15 houses were damaged, as well as a student residence, an educational institution and a food processing factory.

The photos posted on the internet showed a big fire and firefighters working at the site until very late at night, as well as vehicles and buildings with broken windows and damaged facades.

In the northeast region of Kharkiv, Governor Oleh Syniehubov said an attack with Russian missiles injured two people in the city of Izium. The city was captured by the Russian troops in the early days of the invasion of February 2022, but was resumed by the Ukrainian forces at the end of the year.
