Government should relaunch Minha Casa, Minha Vida next week, says Padilha to CNN

In an interview with CNN the Minister of Institutional Relations, Alexandre Padilha, confirmed the relaunch of the Minha Casa, Minha Vida program next week.

During a meeting of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) with ministers and parliamentarians from the allied base, on Wednesday (8), the Minister of the Civil House, Rui Costa, had confirmed the relaunch of the program next Tuesday ( 14).

Lula should officially relaunch the housing program in the city of Santo Amaro da Purificação, in Bahia, during the simultaneous delivery of houses in other states.

The novelties of the relaunch must be described in a Provisional Measure that Lula will sign at the time.

On Tuesday, nearly 6,000 housing units are expected to be delivered. The following day, the federal government should start the repair service in 5 thousand houses that had the works abandoned.

The return of the program should bring back Level 1, intended for low-income people, excluded in the previous administration.

Alexandre Padilha also told CNN that the federal government is mobilizing so that parliamentary amendments can be used for housing works in municipalities with less than 50,000 inhabitants.
