Government forwards nominations for Anatel, Antaq, ANTT, ANM and ANPD to the Senate

The President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro, sent to the Senate, for consideration, several nominations for positions in the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel), National Agency for Waterway Transport (Antaq), National Agency for Land Transport (ANTT), National Mining Agency. (ANM) and National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).

The messages are published in an extra edition of the Official Diary of the Union of Friday (11).

To exercise the position of member of the board of directors of Anatel, the name of Alexandre Reis Siqueira Freire was appointed. He is being nominated for the vacancy resulting from the end of the mandate of Emmanoel Campelo de Souza Pereira.

Alber Furtando de Vasconcelos Neto and Caio César Farias Leôncio were nominated for the position of director of Antaq.

For the vacancy resulting from the end of the mandate of Davi Ferreira Gomes Barreto on the board of ANTT, the name of Lucas Asfor Rocha Lima was indicated. Also for the board of ANTT, for the vacancy resulting from the end of the mandate of Fábio Rogério Teixeira Dias de Almeida Carvalho, the name of Felipe Fernandes Queiroz was indicated.

The name of Ronaldo Jorge da Silva Lima was nominated for the board of the ANM.

In addition to these nominations, the president sent for consideration by the Senate the reappointment of Miriam Wimmer to the position of director of the board of directors of the ANPD, with a term of office of four years.

All nominations must be considered by the Senate and approved in order for the nomination to take effect.
