The Federal Government determined this Thursday (29) the suspension of the regional profiles of the Federal Police (PF) and the Federal Highway Police (PRF) on social networks. Only the national profiles of the PF and PRF are still active.
The decision comes after Sergipe’s PRF profile published a crowdfunding request for former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) at dawn.
The message disclosed a link for donation and emphasized that “the PRF team from Sergipe decided to collaborate with the cause”, because it believes that Bolsonaro “deserves all our support as a homeland”.

The federal institution also reported that the shared link actually directs to a coup. “The PRF informs that it is investigating what happened to take the necessary measures to stop this and future criminal attacks and reinforces its defense against this type of attack”, he noted.
In conversation with CNN , the general director of the PRF, Antônio Fernando Oliveira, confirmed that the profile suffered an attack. “We are working to solve it together with the technical areas”, he said.
A Ordinance No. 413/2023 published by the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, provides:
- Art. 1st – Determine the suspension of the regional profiles of the Federal Police and the Federal Highway Police on websites, blogs, in addition to the following social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and others.
- § 1 – Only the national profiles of the Federal Police and the Federal Highway Police remain active and valid.
- § 2 – It will be up to the respective bodies to analyze the convenience, opportunity and security of such regional profiles, sending their conclusions to the Ministry of Justice and Public Security within 30 (thirty) days.
- Art. 2nd – The management of websites, blogs and institutional social networking platforms within the scope of the Federal Police and the Federal Highway Police will be carried out centrally, respectively, by the General Coordination of Social Communication of the Federal Police and by the Coordination of Institutional Communication of the Federal Police. - Art. 3 – The social communication sectors of the National Police Academy, the Regional Superintendencies of the Federal Police and the social communication nuclei of the Regional Superintendencies of the Federal Highway Police must forward the material produced for publication to the central units provided for in art. 2nd, for the duration of this suspension.
- Artº 4 – This Ordinance enters into force on the date of its publication.
