The government contacted, this Monday afternoon (1st), leaders of the allied base to verify the chances of approval of the PEC dos Precatórios on Wednesday (3), and concluded that there were chances of approval of the text.
“We will vote and approve the PEC on Wednesday,” he told CNN the leader of the government in the Chamber, Ricardo Barros (PP-PR), responsible for carrying out the survey with the leaders of the base.
The work was also done by the leader of the PL in the Chamber, Wellington Roberto (PB), a party that, like Ricardo Barros’s PP, also has a seat inside the Palácio do Planalto with the minister of the Secretary of Government, Flavia Arruda.
“Vote without a problem. We have to put 308 votes to approve the PEC, but I calculate that we will have 350 votes in favor and a quorum much larger than that”, he said.
Text change
In order to get approval, the government admitted changing the text, as anticipated by the policy analyst of the CNN Gustavo Uribe. The idea is to include in the text of the initiative a forecast for the settlement of judicial debts to state teachers by 2024.
Today, the main point of resistance to the proposal has been the lack of predictability in the payment of education professionals, who claim that, according to the current text, they will not receive 60% of the amounts due next year.
