The government appointed, this Wednesday (29), the current Special Secretary for Productivity and Competitiveness of the Ministry of Economy , Daniella Marques Consentino, to assume the presidency of Caixa Econômica Federal. The appointment comes after the resignation of the then president of the bank, Pedro Guimarães, who had been in office since the beginning of the government of President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), in 2019, was made official.
Daniella Marques has been a member of the federal government since 2019, when she was appointed head of the Special Advisory for Strategic Affairs of the Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes.
According to the Ministry of Economy, she worked for 20 years in the financial market, in the area of independent management of investment funds. Marques was also a founding partner and director of investment funds.

Marques’ appointment takes place after the Federal Public Ministry (MPF ) open an investigation into complaints by Caixa employees that Pedro Guimarães had sexual harassment .
MPF sources reported that the procedure runs under judicial secrecy and is in the hearing phase of witnesses and potential victims.
The investigation was revealed by the portal “Metrópoles”, on Tuesday (28), and confirmed by CNN . Sought by the bank’s press office, the president of Caixa did not comment on the subject.
After the case was revealed, the bank decided to cancel the Plano Safra press conference, which was scheduled to take place this Wednesday afternoon (29).
