GoPro launches new cameras; meet the HERO and HERO13 Black

THE GoPro has announced the launch of two new cameras : the HERO (the brand’s smallest and simplest 4K camera) and the HERO13 Black (top-of-the-line camera with HB-Series lenses).

While the HERO offers a smaller, ultra-lightweight design experience, the HERO13 Black features four new interchangeable lens pods, a magnetic mount, GPS, and a more powerful battery.

The HERO is the company’s smallest, lightest, easiest to use, and lowest cost 4K camera. Check out the model’s main features:

  • Ultra-compact design, weighing only 86g;
  • Waterproof up to five meters deep;
  • Touch screen and single button control;
  • Ultra HD 4K and HD 1080p videos and 12 MP photos;
  • 2x slow motion at 60 frames per second in 2.7K;
  • Aspect ratio 16:9;
  • Long-lasting Enduro battery allows you to record continuously for over 60 minutes at the highest video setting on a single battery charge.

The HERO costs R$1,899.00 and will be available for pre-sale soon.

HERO13 Black


According to the company, the HERO13 Black delivers best-in-class 5.3K 60 frames-per-second video and features Emmy-winning HyperSmooth stabilization.

  • Continuous shooting at 13x slower motion;
  • 400 frames per second in 720p video in HD quality, as well as 5.3K at 120 frames per second and 900p at 360 frames per second;
  • Enduro battery with 10% greater capacity and better thermal performance;
  • Support with quick-fit magnetic lock;
  • Faster Wi-Fi 6 technology for content transfer;
  • Professional-grade HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) HDR video;
  • Customizable audio adjustment;
  • Performance and GPS stickers.

The HERO13 Black standalone camera costs $3,499.00, while the HERO13 Black Creator Edition complete with the Volta stick, Media Mod, and Lighting Mod costs $5,199.00.

The camera is now available for pre-order and will be available at retail on September 10.
