Google now has a choice of ads to view. You can disable tracking

In May, at the Google I/O 2022 developer conference, the Internet giant announced the upcoming launch of My Ad Center or “Ad Control Center”. And now, nearly six months later, Google has announced the gradual rollout of a service that allows users to control the ads that Google displays.

Google’s new solution allows people to control the ads they see. For example, users can choose interesting brands and blacklist ads on certain topics that they, on the contrary, do not want to see on their devices, for example, ads for dating services, alcoholic beverages, weight loss or gambling.

“Imagine that you spent months researching your upcoming trip to the sea, and now, upon returning from vacation, you no longer want to see travel ads. In the Ad Control Center, you just need to click on the three-dot menu next to an ad to see fewer ads. You can also view ads for things you care about, like sneaker discounts or holiday gifts for your loved ones.

In the so-called “Ad Control Center”, users can like, block or report ads, and get information about the advertiser, including its website and location, and see other ads. In addition, you can completely disable ad personalization.

It is worth noting that similar options were previously available in Google settings.
