The price of Gold oscillates after the Fed meeting. Commerzbank strategists analyze the prospects for the yellow metal.
Long-term ETF investors continue to retreat
Short-term financial investors are probably primarily responsible for price fluctuations. In any case, longer-term ETF investors continue to retreat: fund outflows have been reported almost continuously since the beginning of the quarter.
We assume that price developments in the coming weeks will continue to be dictated by US economic and inflation data, as they will primarily determine the Fed’s interest rate policy.
Until there are clear signs of a change in interest rate trends, the data-driven price of Gold is likely to fluctuate in no clear direction.
