Singer Gilberto Gil published a series of photos with Preta Gil on his social media profile. The reason is to celebrate the end of her daughter’s cancer treatment.
Last Monday (11), Preta Gil used social media to announce the end of treatment for colorectal cancer. She was diagnosed with the disease earlier this year. “My cancer treatment ends after surgery to reconstruct my intestinal tract and reverse the ilestomy”, celebrated the artist when announcing the news.
According to an update on the singer’s health status, she will now undergo rehabilitation and will remain under medical care for five years, which, according to her, is common for cancer patients with this type of tumor.
On his Instagram profile, Gilberto Gil published photos alongside, hugging and singing with his daughter. In the caption, he quoted an excerpt from the song “Realce”, which says: “If life hurts, like the feeling of shine, suddenly we will shine”.
Still in the caption, Gil wrote: “The success of Preta Gil’s treatment is the best news of the year for the Gil family.”
