He came home and was arrested: that’s how it ended, in 11 days, Giacomo Bozzoli’s escape. At 5.45pm on Thursday 11th July he was found by the Carabinieri in his villa in Soiano, on Lake Garda. They had not found him here on the evening of 1st July at the time of the definitive sentence of life imprisonment for the murder of his uncle Mario and the destruction of his body in the foundry furnace in Marcheno in the province of Brescia on 8 October 2015.

He had left with his family on June 23rd and for the last time He had been seen with his partner Antonella Colossi and his 9-year-old son on June 30 in Marbellaat the Hard Rock Hotel. The hotel’s surveillance footage proves it. After that day, his tracks disappeared while his partner and son returned to Italy on July 4, arriving by train at Milan’s Central Station. Both Antonella Colossi and the child were interviewed, but neither of them seemed to have provided information about the man.

An international arrest warrant had been issued for Bozzoli. It was thought that he might have headed from Spain in a country where there was no extraditionand traveling with false documents and cash. It seems instead that he decided to listen to those who asked him to turn himself in. His latest movements are yet to be clarified.

Hidden microphones were apparently placed in the house and the police noticed some movements. They found him in the bedroom. According to the Giornale di Brescia he did not resist. He was not armed. There is no trace of the Maserati Levante and it is still to be understood how he got to Soiano.
