Both men were charged with serious child sexual abuse and rape in addition to their involvement on the platform and will therefore be remanded in custody after serving their sentences.
Another accused – a 60-year-old man who had been arrested in Paraguay – was sentenced to eight years in prison, while a 66-year-old man from Hamburg was sentenced to seven years.
Researchers managed to take down the platform last year. It was the largest online platform for child pornography, with 400,000 users from around the world.
