Vacation time for George of Wales, the sister Charlotte and the little brother Louis. The little princes, sons of William and Kate Middletonthese days they are enjoying their half term break and are at Anmer Hall, the Norfolk country estate that has always been the family’s retreat.
Being at home, however, doesn’t just mean playing. Word of mum Kate: recently the princess revealed that during these breaks from school George is always very busy and often helps out in the stables. Small chores appropriate to his age, of course, like moving hay or feed. Kate let slip her anecdote during a visit to Wales with her husband; as the couple watched a robot being used to move feed, she said, “That was George’s job in the middle of the semester, moving feed.” An information reiterated by William, who confirmed that in Sandringham the children are always very busy.
The princes, after all, they are used to the outdoors and every opportunity is good to exploit its benefits. Thanks to mum Kate, who grew up in the countryside and has always wanted the same thing for her children. Her free time is at Anmer Hall, but also at the home of her maternal grandparents Carole and Michael Middleton, who have had much more time to devote to their grandchildren since they sold the family business.
George, 10 next July, Charlotte, 8, and Louis 5 are studying at Lambbrook School, near Bucklebury Manor, the Middletons’ home in Berkshire. They live with her parents in Adelaide Cottage, where the family moved at the end of last summer, leaving their Kensington Palace apartment. A choice that at the time was made to be closer to Queen Elizabeth, who resided permanently in Windsor, but also to guarantee greater freedom for the children. In Kensington they couldn’t even go out in the garden, always chased by photographers, in the countryside, however, it’s another story and the three little princes have all the freedom they need to live their childhood in a serene way, away from prying eyes.
