The São Paulo Civil Police arrested two people and uncovered a scheme for storing stolen cargo, which was stored in spaces rented by companies specializing in luggage storage this Tuesday (5), in the Vila Maria region, in the North Zone of São Paulo. São Paulo.
According to the investigation by the 1st Police Station Investigations on Robbery and Vehicle Theft (Divecar), of the State Department of Criminal Investigations (Deic), electronic products were found at the scene that were stolen on February 23, in Rio de Janeiro.
The police arrived at the address where the cargo was stored after arresting a suspect of being part of a cargo theft gang last Saturday (2). He had notes on the left-luggage office, box number and type of merchandise that was there.
This afternoon, the agents went to the company that manages the pits and were informed that there was suspicion about the space's tenants, which was later confirmed, as the suspects used false documents to sign the rental contract.
According to the police, when agents were already inspecting some warehouses, the suspects arrived at the scene in a car. A monitor was found in the vehicle that was part of the batch of stolen products in Rio de Janeiro. When they opened the box in the box under the suspects' responsibility, more equipment from the same load was found and they were detained.
Cargo theft gang targeted by police
