Galaxy Ring: Samsung’s smart ring promises 7-day battery life; find out more

A Samsung launched, this Wednesday (10), a smart ring with artificial intelligence (AI) whose battery promises to last up to seven full days . The novelty was presented to the public during Galaxy Unpacked, which took place in Paris, and has already is available for pre-order .

During the presentation of the Galaxy Ring, Matthew Wiggins, head of Digital Health Samsung Research, explained that the new accessory from the South Korean company will work by applying AI to enhance the data collected to provide more complete guidance that helps the user have a healthier routine.

“We’re putting the ability to control your health in your hands. It’s simple, effective and easy to use,” Wiggins explained.

The Galaxy Ring is designed to work 24/7. Made of titanium, it has a comfortable design and weighs only 3 grams, so it can be used as an accessory. According to the company’s announcement, it can survive different temperatures and relative humidity levels, in addition to being able to withstand multiple recharges.

The new ring will be available in three different colors (Titanium Black, Titanium Silver and Titanium Gold), with nine different sizes and water resistance capable of withstanding diving up to 100 meters deep. It will also feature the Energy Score, a tool powered by Galaxy AI that offers recommendations on what to focus on during the day and wellness tips based on the health data collected, such as heart rate and sleep quality.

Like the other devices launched this Wednesday (Galaxy Watch7 and Watch Ultra, Galaxy Buds, Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6), the ring will be equipped with Galaxy AI, Samsung’s artificial intelligence tool. The technology, launched in January, is already available to 66% of users of the Galaxy S24 models and should be integrated into the entire family of products from the South Korean company.

The new releases are now available for pre-sale and will be available to the public from July 24th. The prices of the new products have not been disclosed by Samsung.
