The singer Gabi Melim 30, attended the 90’s Festival, at Marina da Glória, in Rio de Janeiro, in the early hours of Sunday (21). The artist was accompanied by her new boyfriend, Danilo Amuedo and was seen in a romantic mood in the audience at the event.
Danilo is the son of the Uruguayan guitarist Leo Amuedo who has won four Grammy Awards and played with names such as Stevie Wonder, Chris Botti, Ivan Lins, Barbra Streisand, Neil Diamond, among others. He began his musical career at the age of 18, playing drums and percussion with artists such as Liz Rosa, Roberto Menescal, and the Leo Amuedo Quintet.
At the age of 19, Danilo won a scholarship to Berklee College of Music and moved to Boston to attend one of the best music schools in the world. Since then, he has recorded and performed for other Brazilian artists, such as Alcione, Karol Conká, Amado Batista, Fernando e Sorocaba, Jorge Vercillo, among others. In 2020, he joined the band for the program “Encontro com Fátima Bernardes”, on Rede Globo.
In 2021, he joined singer Karinah’s band, traveling around Brazil as a drummer. In 2022, living in Los Angeles, he was part of the band “BLOOD, SWEAT & TEARS”. Later, Danilo joined the band that accompanied singer and composer Ivan Lins on a summer tour of the United States and Canada.

With a new artistic name, Gabi Melim releases her first solo album
In June, Gabi Melim used social media to announce her new artistic name, Gabriela. The change is part of the release of her first solo album, entitled “Longing whispered ”, released on June 27.
Alongside her brothers, Diogo and Rodrigo, the artist was part of the band Melim, which has songs such as “Meu Abrigo” and “Ouvi Dizer”. At the end of last year, they announced a hiatus after eight years of career.
