G. Oikonomou: Mr. Tsipras’ speech exuded mothballs and bankrupt ideologies of the old left

“At today’s SYRIZA event, in Peristeri, the notes of the music were more interesting and more relevant than Mr. Tsipras’ outdated speech, a speech that breathed mothballs,” stressed in a statement Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister and Government Spokesman Yannis Oikonomou, commenting tonight’s speech by the Leader of the Opposition.

Mr. Economou underlined that the proposals of SYRIZA “have nothing to do with today or tomorrow” and spoke of “bankrupt ideologies of the old left” and “old-fashioned theories”.

The government representative emphasized that “in the end, Mr. Tsipras himself realized it, saying that it must end so that the audience can hear the artistic program.

The SYRIZA leader insists on reading our world – a world that has changed completely after 2020 and continues to change rapidly – with outmoded theoretical tools of the Cold War era and others “resoundingly similar”.

He added that “what Mr. Tsipras knows, what he thinks and what he proposes have nothing to do with the present or the future of society and the country. By investing in bankrupt ideologies of the old left, he cannot offer anything to the society of action and creation as well as in the youth, for which the Government creates a Greece with more opportunities for personal development and well-being and concluded:

“During our administration we have invested in action and helping citizens and businesses weather the global hurricane of crises. Even a drop of action, in this day and age, is more useful than tons of old-fashioned theory.”
