“Friday the 13th” actor Erich Anderson dies at age 67

The actor Eric Anderson known for films such as “Friday 13” , died at the age of 67 last Saturday (1). The news was confirmed on the social networks of his wife, Saxon Trainor, 60.

Erich Anderson played the character Rob Dier in the 1984 film “Friday the 13th – Part 4: The Final Chapter”. The actor also played Dr. Edward Porter, father of the protagonist of the series “Felicity”, shown between 1998 and 2002.

“My husband Erich [Anderson] died this morning. I am sharing the words of my brother-in-law Michael O’Malley as I am too heartbroken to write anything,” Trainor wrote.

The post continued in the words of Anderson’s brother-in-law, who revealed the cause of death.

“My brother-in-law Erich Anderson passed away this morning after a brutal fight with cancer,” O’Malley said in the same post. “He had a long and successful career as an actor – he was on that old show in his early 30s; he was Felicity’s father in ‘Felicity’; He Was Killed in a Basement in a ‘Friday the 13th’ Movie: He Was in ‘Star Trek’, and dozens of other programs.”

“He was a smart, funny guy, a fantastic cook; he wrote three great novels that you can find on Amazon. I will miss him, but his ordeal is over,” the post concluded.

On social media, the official account of the horror franchise “Friday the 13th” paid tribute to him. “Rest in peace, Erich Anderson,” wrote the profile.

Eve Gordon, from “Felicity”. she also mourned her colleague’s death. “I’m using the past tense. My friend, I hope to see you again in dreams and other dimensions. Fly high, my friend”, declared the actress.
