Groupe La Poste has announced that it has selected Binance NFT to sell its first collection of tokens. The collection is based on photographs taken by French postmen in 2021.
The NFT collection “Faces of France through the eyes of postmen” (Visages de France par les facteurs) was born in 2021 as a joint art project of Groupe La Poste, the GoodPlanet Foundation and renowned environmentalist, journalist and photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand (Yann Arthus-Bertrand) .
The creators of the collection asked all the postmen in France – about 70,000 people – to take pictures of the citizens with whom they are in contact at work every day. These photographs form the basis of a digital exhibition that has selected the best works to participate in the La Poste du Louvre vernissage in 2022. Of the 4,000 photos submitted, 10 have been converted into collectible tokens and listed for sale on the Binance NFT marketplace.
“The very special relationship between postmen and citizens makes these workers more significant than just “distributors” of mail and parcels. Postmen are trustworthy and very well suited to create a series of portraits and capture simple moments in life,” the project organizers said in a joint statement.
Recently, WeChat, a popular messenger in China, published a new policy for using the service, according to which all accounts that provide access to cryptocurrencies and NFTs will be blocked.
