Four Palestinians dead in West Bank, including one wanted by Israel

Four people were killed by Israeli fire last night, including an attack suspect wanted by Israel, near Ramallah, the Palestinian Authority said. In a terse statement, the Ministry of Health of the Palestinian Authority, which is based in the occupied West Bank, announced the deaths of four Palestinians from “occupational fire” (Israel’s statement) in Kfar Niama, a village northwest of Ramallah. In response, the Fatah party of Mahmoud Abbas, the president of the Palestinian Authority, announced a “general strike” today in the Ramallah sector in condemnation of these “murders” and that a planned demonstration in support of Palestinian prisoners would go ahead as normal. One of the four dead was allegedly attacked a few hours earlier in an arbitrary settlement, in Sde Ephraim, in the occupied West Bank, according to a statement by the Israeli police.
