Former Kiss guitarist is irritated by the comment and threatens to expose “rottenness” of the band if he does not receive an apology

Former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley has given his former bandmates an ultimatum after being angered by a sarcastic comment about what a return to the group’s original lineup would look like.

He said that if he does not receive a formal apology within seven days, he will reveal dirt on vocalist Paul Stanley and bassist Gene Simmons.

The conflict began, earlier this month, in an interview by Kiss on host Howard Stern’s radio show, when it was announced that the band’s last shows – and this time, definitely – will take place on December 1st and 2nd at Madison Square Garden in New York, USA.

During the conversation, the anchor asked why the band didn’t play at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 2014, and if it had anything to do with the current guitarist and drummer – Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer – not having been awarded the honor.

“The hypocrisy is that we are not a band they like. They kept us off purpose for 15 years. Other bands they accept, they induct the members’ mothers, the songwriters and all that stuff. With us, it was really unfair”, began to explain the vocalist.

“We are very proud of this lineup, which is KIss, it has been Kiss for 20 years. They are not newbies. This is the band that carried the flag and took it to the next level. This is the band I always dreamed it would be,” he adds.

“They were honestly demanding that we play with the original two guys – Peter and Ace – and at this point, that would be demeaning to the band and confuse people. Because if you saw people onstage who looked like Kiss but sounded like that, maybe we should call them “Piss” (urine, in literal translation) “, concluded Paul.

Original guitarist’s reaction

This Wednesday (29), the original Kiss guitarist, Ace Frehley, participated in the presenter Eddie Trunk’s program on American radio SiriusXM and responded to the comments in a resentful monologue.

“Paul, if you’re not listening, I’m sure one of your KISS partners is. I’m telling you that I want a formal apology and a retraction within seven days. If I don’t have that in seven days, I’m going to come back here at the Eddie Trunk show and spill some dirt on Paul and Gene that I’ve always kept to myself.”

“I’m the type of guy who doesn’t talk about it. I like to talk about positive things. As for negativity, we’ve all done things we’ve regretted over the years. I have a 120-page manuscript that I wrote after finishing my book.”

He stated that this text is with his lawyer in a safe deposit. “God forbid anything happens to me. But he was instructed to release it so they can’t bully me because they would be totally screwed. Their ruined careers,” he concluded.
