“Five Nights At Freddy’s” will be continued, says Josh Hutcherson

Featured in Google searches and in the biggest box office of the year, the feature film “Five Nights At Freddy's” will have a sequel. The information was revealed by protagonist Josh Hutcherson, in an interview with the magazine Variety.

“I know they are in the process of getting the whole story straight and want to get started as quickly as possible,” revealed Josh Hutcherson. “Obviously, the fans are incredible and insurmountable. For me, being part of this was really cool and phenomenal”, added the star.

Josh Hutcherson also said he was excited to return to filming.

“I don't think anyone, even on our side, expected the audience to really connect the way it did. I'm dying to get back on set. Emma Tammi, our director, was fantastic and it was a really fun world to play in. I’m excited to see what they do next,” he said.

“Five Nights At Freddy's” brings an adaptation of the video game series divided into nine chapters, in which players take on the role of night security guards at the pizzeria “Freddy Fazbear's Pizza” and try to save themselves from attacks by the pizzeria's animatronic characters who come to life at night.

There are still no further details about the sequel to “Five Nights At Freddy’s”.

Highest grossing horror of 2023

The film “Five Nights At Freddy's” managed to break the record for the biggest opening for a horror film in 2023 in its first weekend, surpassing “Scream 6”.

After three days in theaters, the film grossed US$130.6 million in cinemas around the world, US$78 million in the United States alone, followed by US$10.8 million from Mexico, US$6.3 million from the United Kingdom, and R$3.9 million from Brazil.
