Five people who belonged to the same family drowned, last Saturday (24), in a small beach on the Tietê River, in Dois Córregos, in the interior of São Paulo.
Kervellin Wallace da Silva, 29, and Cynthia Silva dos Santos, 25, were parents to Nicolly Helloyse Dias Silva, 8, and Emily Camile Dias da Silva, 3.
Denise Aparecida Dias da Silva, 51, was Kervellin’s mother and the children’s grandmother.
According to the investigation by the Civil Police so far, everyone was playing on the little beach located in the Recanto Feliz condominium, in the Três Rios neighborhood. Denise had Nicolly in her arms. Kervellin was holding Emily.
At a certain point, they drowned. Only Manoel Ariston de Oliveira managed to save himself, asking for help from other people who were at the scene.
The bodies of the two women and children returned to the surface and were removed from the water on Saturday itself. The man’s body was located later, on the afternoon of Sunday (25), according to the Secretariat of Public Security.
According to the Municipality of Suzano, the city where they lived, the grandmother, mother and two children were buried. Kervellin is still at the Instituto Médico Legal (IML) in Jaú.
