Gospel singer Pedro Henrique died after suffering a sudden illness during a performance in Feira de Santana (BA), a city located approximately 120 kilometers from Salvador.
The artist was married to Suilan Barreto and leaves a daughter less than 2 months old.

Pedro Henrique was 30 years old and was born on July 24, 1993 in the municipality of Ubaitaba, in the south of Bahia and around 250 kilometers from the state capital.
As a child, his family moved to Barueri, in Greater São Paulo, where they lived until the artist’s early adolescence. The family then returned to Bahia, but started living in Porto Seguro, around 330 kilometers from Pedro Henrique’s hometown.
He had a degree in information systems and, before getting into music, he worked for a multinational.
Beginnings in music
In January 2022, in an interview with a podcast, Pedro Henrique reported that since his childhood he sang in evangelical churches, but never professionally.
According to him, after being fired from the multinational company where he worked, he asked his father to give him approximately a year’s time to try his luck in a musical career.
“That year I started recording covers on the internet. I got a new cell phone that came with a voice joining app. Then I recorded a video that was like a choir with myself. I recorded it and posted it. The video went viral on Facebook. I gained a lot of followers. I saw that I could propagate my work there,” he said.
“Until one day a music producer from Rio found me on the internet and invited me”, he added.
According to the artist, he invited him to participate in recordings. That was when he decided to move to Rio de Janeiro, because, according to him, there would be little opportunity for him in music if he continued living in Bahia. He had a band, but started a solo career in 2019.
Internet phenomenon
Pedro Henrique has achieved great reach on the internet, whether with covers or his own songs. On YouTube alone, the artist’s channel has 287 videos and reaches almost 200 million views. His most viewed video on the platform is a version of the song “Vai Ser Tão Lindo”, by Misaias Oliveira, with 34 million views.
On Instagram, he had 1 million followers. On Spotify, it had almost 300 thousand monthly listeners.
On social media, in addition to showing his work, he used to post photos and videos of his routine, with images of his family, travels and participation in cults.
Family
The artist married makeup artist Suilan Barreto in March 2018.
On October 19, the couple’s daughter, Zoe, was born prematurely, after just over seven months of pregnancy. Pedro Henrique died almost two months after his wife gave birth.

Sudden illness during show
Pedro Henrique fell ill during his show in Feira de Santana last night. Shortly before the presentation, he posted videos and photos of him and the team during the trip to the city of Bahia and at the hotel where he stayed on his Instagram stories.
Doctors suspect that the musician suffered a heart attack, but the report with the official cause of death has not yet been made available to family members.
