The actor Donald Sutherland best known for playing the President Snow in the franchise films “Hunger Games” , died this Thursday (20), aged 88. The star had an extensive legacy in cinema, and leaves behind a family of stars, made up of actors and producers.
Donald Sutherland died in Miami, United States, after facing “a long illness”, according to a statement from the Creative Artists Agency (CAA), obtained by CNN International.
Donald Sutherland played President Coriolanus Snow in the first four films in the “Hunger Games” saga. The actor is also remembered for his roles in “Pride and Prejudice” (2005), “Behind the Scenes” (2002), “The Body Snatchers” (1978), “MASH” (1970), “Space Cowboys” (2000) ), “Citizen X” (1995) and “The Condemned Dozen” (1965).

Donald Sutherland leaves behind his wife, actress Francine Racette, 76, and five children: Kiefer, 57, Rachel, 57, Rossif, 45, Angus, 41, and Roeg Sutherland, 50. Three of them are actors and two work as producers. His two ex-wives, Shirley Douglas and Lois Hardwick, were also prominent in acting. Both have now passed away.
Lois Hardwick was married to Donald from 1959 to 1966. Lois was an actress during her childhood, appearing in “Buster Minds The Baby” (1928), “Out at Home” (1929) and “Tige’s Girl Friend” (1929). She passed away in 1968, aged 51.
