Ukraine’s Defense Ministry hinted that the weapons were “seized” by the Russians, the newspaper reported.

The United States has blamed North Korea that it supplies arms to Russiaincluding seaborne missions, but have provided no evidence and North Korean weapons have not been widely seen on the battlefields of Ukraine.

North Korea and Russia deny conducting arms deals.

North Korean weapons were seen being used by Ukrainian soldiers operating Grad multiple-launch rocket systems near the devastated eastern city of Bahamut, the site of a long and fierce battle, the FT report said.

The Russian defense minister made a rare visit to Pyongyang this week for the events marking the 70th anniversary of the signing of the armistice that ended the Korean War, the first visit by Moscow’s top defense official since the breakup of the Soviet Union in 1991.
