Fifteen Palestinians killed in airstrike in central and southern Gaza Strip

Fifteen Palestinians were killed early Sunday morning in airstrikes by Israel in the central and southern parts of the Gaza Strip, as reported by the Palestinian news agency WAFA.

Thirteen people were killed in an attack on a house in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central part of Gaza Stripwhile a woman and her child were killed in the town of Khan Younes in the southern part of the Palestinian enclave, according to WAFA.

Contact with people guarding prisoners was lost

THE Hamas announced Saturday night that due to continued Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip all communication was lost with some of its members who were “guarding Israeli prisoners”.

Abu Obaidah, a spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, says in a press release that the fate of the captives remains unknownwithout going into further details.

The Israeli Armed Forces (IDF) have stepped up their offensive in the besieged Palestinian enclave, aiming to dislodge Hamas and free the approximately 240 hostages kidnapped in the October 7 attack and held in the Gaza Strip.

For the 44th day, Israel has pounded the Gaza Strip in retaliation for the Hamas attack, which has claimed the lives of around 1,200 people. To date, 12,300 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli bombardment of Gaza since the start of the waraccording to the latest report released yesterday by Hamas.
