The long awaited month of June is marked in Brazil by the famous June festivals. In addition to music and dancing, these festivities are known for their typical dishes. Whether sweet or savory, the delicacies are a national success.

However, as delicious as June foods are, they are rich in calories and can get in the way of that arduous mission of keeping your diet up to date.

1) Program yourself

Select the days of the month that you will participate in the June festivities and all that it entitles you to. But be aware that consuming all the goodies throughout the month of June can be harmful to your health;

2) Make choices

Choose your favorite foods each day you go to the party. That’s because trying everyone on every day can bring bad results;

3) Order of food

The consumption of corn, savory crepes, meat or chicken skewers, pastel, hot cheese sandwich or hot hole, among other snacks, should open the meal. The sweets that may be consumed must come later;

4) Choose low-calorie ingredients

If the party takes place at home, some sweets can be made with a culinary sweetener, especially if there are elderly people or people with sugar restrictions. Among the sweets that can receive this type of ingredient are hominy, soft coconut, creamy curau, sweet rice and pamonha;

5) Don’t arrive too hungry

Eat the previous meal normally. That way, you’ll be able to have greater and better control over choosing what to eat;

6) Drink water

The consumption of alcoholic beverages is allowed for those over 18 years old. However, whoever is drinking hot wine, mulled wine, beer or other drinks should not forget to drink water before, during and after. In this way, the impact of alcohol on the body may be less;

7) Avoid exaggeration
