Federal Police investigate judges of TJ do Pará and government servants

The Federal Police will carry out, this Thursday (4), an operation in the capital of Belém, Pará, to fulfill 30 search and seizure warrants issued by the Superior Court of Justice (STJ).

The targets are judges of the Court of Justice of the State of Pará and servants of various organs of the state government.

This investigation began with the analysis of material obtained in 2020 with the operation Para Bellum, which investigated fraud in the purchase of lung respirators by the local government.

According to one of the phones seized with the former Chief of Staff and analyzed, it showed that TJPA judges, using the positions, indicated sponsored persons for positions commissioned by Executive bodies.

Also according to these messages, the former Chief of Staff and other members of the government to satisfy personal interests also nominated, indicated or maintained the sponsors who were sent by the judges.

This operation called “Quem Indica” – QI, has the participation of the Attorney General’s Office and has 112 federal police officers.

THE CNN contacted the government of Pará and the Pará State Court of Justice, but has not yet received a response.
