Fear for Carlos Santana: hospitalized after an illness

Carlos Santanaiconic guitarist and pioneer of Latin Rock, had to temporarily stop his Onness Tour 2025 due to a hospitalization. The 77 -year -old musician was at the Majestic Theater in San Antonio, Texas, for the soundcheck of the show scheduled for on Tuesday 22 April, when accused an illness attributable to an episode of dehydration. The concert was immediately postponed.

The artist’s manager, Michael Vrionis, has released a note in which he confirmed the artist’s conditions: «It is with a profound disappointment that I must inform you that the show of this evening in San Antonio has been postponed. Santana was on the spot, in preparation for the show, when he had an illness caused by dehydration. Carlos is fine and can’t wait to return to San Antonio soon and to continue his tour in the United States».

The Department of Fire Brigade of San Antonio confirmed the intervention of the rescue, specifying that the health condition of Santana “does not put it in danger of life”. A video spread from TMZ shows the moment when the musician is taken away by ambulance by the theater.

It is not the first time that Carlos Santana is forced to stop for health reasons. In January, he reported the Fracture of the little hand of the left hand following a fall in his home in Hawaiiwho forced him to a six -week break from live performances. Even earlier, in July 2022, it was passed out on stage during a concert in Michigan, always due to dehydration and excessive heat. “I simply forgotten to eat and drink water,” he had admitted later.
