Evidence in Trump’s election subversion case could be released before the election

In the United States, Judge Tanya Chutkan has set a timetable in the election subversion case against former President Donald Trump that will allow prosecutors to release evidence in the case before the presidential election.

The deadline for prosecutors to file charges is Sept. 26, according to the judge’s latest order, which largely agrees with the timeline proposed by special counsel Jack Smith.

The dates were discussed during a hearing this Thursday (5).

Trump’s defense team is trying to delay the public release of evidence in the case until after the November election. The outcome could hurt the Republican candidate at the polls.

The day of judgment has not yet been set.
