Eurovision 2024 has begun in Malmö: the first semi-final of edition n.68 unfolds before our eyes between fireworks, glitter and pop colours. There are 15 singers and bands competing. 10 places up for grabs for the final on Saturday 12 May. Furthermore, the novelty this year is that for the first time the Big Five will perform during both semi-finals and on the first evening the artists from Sweden, Germany and Great Britain will give a show.
The event will be presented by Petra Mede and Malin Åkerman who, to underline their energy, enter the scene with a vitaminic look. Perfect on a chromatic level: blonde and brunette, the first with long hair Seventies vibes, the second 80s with quiff and side parting.
As usual, the watchword, even when it comes to the beauty look, is too much. Exaggerate, exaggerate, bring to excess, hair, nails, make-up. Some people do it (definitely), some people don't. However, there are still many European pop stars who literally stick out their claws: For nails, size matters at Eurovision. And so we see sharp nail art, from the darkest to those sparkling.

The hair, of course, is no exception: if the current trend requires long hair, at Eurovision 2024 it will be made very long. And the make-up? Euphoria still reigns. At least in Malmö. Below are the beauty looks of the artists of the first semi-final.
Silia Kapsis (Cyprus)
A sort of Britney Spears from the golden age in a Cypriot style: for her, wavy bronde hair, complexion sun-kissed, matte makeup and pink almond-shaped nails.

Silvester Belt (Lithuania)
For every hedgehog, a whim? Who knows, in the meantime curly heads have always been popular, at least since the days of Justin Timberlake and 'NSync. The Lithuanian singer pairs it with a strange silver patch piercing on his nose.
Bambie Thug (Ireland)
Very Maleficent style, the Irish singer shows off dark and very sharp claws. The hairlook is reminiscent of Princess Corvo di Lum (only for nostalgics and boomers). The makeup is very graphic, a sort of gothic Pierrot.
Ollie Alexander (Great Britain)
Very short cut, clean face. Nothing else to declare.
Teresa & Maria (Ukraine)
One shows off Pre-Raphaelite XXL hair and just the right glow, the other responds with a semi-updo Japanese style and minimal makeup. Together they work.
Moon (Poland)
The Polish singer appears like a sort of sober Lady Gaga: for her wavy platinum hair and Euphoria style make-up with scattered glitter and double bling bling red eyeliner matching her very long, sparkling nails.
Baby Lasagna (Croatia)
Soft hair shot in silver nuances, mustache and (also for him) touches Euphoria in make-up.
