In addition, for the 6.5 million people, including 2.5 million children, who have been forced to flee their homes but remain in Ukraine and are now internally displaced, funding and donations will provide them with vital humanitarian care.

The donations will be announced during a roundtable meeting convened by the President of the Commission and the Prime Minister of Canada on Saturday, April 9 from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. Greek time zone. In recognition of Poland’s central role in supporting refugees trying to escape the invasion of Ukraine, the “Stand Up For Ukraine” donor event will take place in Warsaw.
