The price of hydrous ethanol rose 7.72% at service stations in Brazil in the first half of November compared to October, while gasoline recorded the first increase since June, according to a survey released this Monday (14) by ValeCard, a company specializing in solutions of fleet management.
Between November 1st and 14th, a liter of biofuel was sold, on average, at R$ 3.851 compared to R$ 3.575 in the previous month.
Gasoline was sold at R$ 5.25 per liter, representing an increase of 1.79% compared to October, the first since when the series of price cuts at Petrobras refineries began and the limit on ICMS collection was applied ( to 17% or 18%) in the States, said ValeCard.
The weekly survey by the regulator ANP, however, has already registered an increase in gasoline prices for five consecutive weeks.
According to ValeCard, only in three states is it more advantageous to fuel up with ethanol instead of gasoline, considering that the value of a liter of renewable fuel must be equal to or less than 70% of the price of fossil fuel: Mato Grosso (68%) Paraíba (69%) and Amazonas (70%).
The survey was carried out based on transactions carried out in more than 25,000 establishments accredited to ValeCard in all states of Brazil.
