The one marked by the pandemic, even for school, was a difficult and complicated year. But thanks to the sixth edition of “School friends”, long S has managed to contribute to the needs of the communities in which it operates by offering a catalog of prizes designed to meet new needs: notebooks, tablets, monitors, printers, interactive multimedia whiteboards and smart teaching courses to promote digital teaching and allow students and teachers to experience school in an even safer way.
Starting from 2015, the project designed for students has made it possible to distribute as a whole over 93 million euros in didactic material and computer equipment to more than 13,000 Italian schools. Important numbers, divided between the various regions in this way:
Emilia-Romagna: 5,325,571.3 euros
Lombardy: 66,338,320.5 euros
Piedmont: 7,866,451.5 euros
Tuscany: 11,921,695.2 euros
Lazio: 303,987.6 euros
Liguria: 590,067.3 euros
Veneto: 780,214.9 euros
The figures testify to the success of the project in which many schools participated and had the opportunity to enrich their equipment with technological tools, some of which also facilitated activities related to distance learning.
In addition to the supply of school materials, the “Amici di Scuola” program also offered this year the possibility for high school students to participate for free in the meetings Together to understand, organized online, in collaboration with the Corriere della Sera Foundation. In the period between October and December, the initiative dedicated to topical issues involved 155,000 students and teachers from all over Italy.
