Ersin Tatar’s father dies – He was the first Auditor General of the Republic of Cyprus

His last breath at the age of 90 was left by the father of the occupying leader Ersin Tatar, Rustem Tatar.

Widely known to the Turkish Cypriot community, the father of the leader of the pseudo-state was the first president of the Court of Auditors of the Republic of Cyprus, which was later renamed the Audit Office.

He remained in this position until 1963, while he had close relations with Archbishop Makarios.

Condolences from Anastasiadis

The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Anastasiadis, had a telephone conversation with the leader of the Turkish Cypriot community, Ersin Tatar, expressing his sincere condolences to Mr. Tatar for the loss of his father.

According to a written statement, government spokesman Kyriakos Kousios, President Anastasiadis and Mr. Tatar agreed to meet in Geneva on the sidelines of the informal conference on Cyprus, in addition to the official meetings scheduled by the United Nations.
