Eros Ramazzotti turns 60, Aurora’s letter: “I would like to protect you from the pain you felt”

The kind that when they come to you even just once in your life, you never forget them again.

A letter from a daughter but also from a mother, where with extreme tenderness and awareness Aurora writes: «When we are children, our parents seem indestructible. Strong, resolved, authoritarian, unshakable points of reference, capable of calming us down in the chaos of life and defeating the monster under the bed. The advancing years, however, bring us ever closer to the awareness that no one is invincible and that everyone navigates this life as best they can. Even our personal superheroes. Today I look at the past with the gaze of a mother and I begin to see the reasons for many things that I didn’t understand before. Today I would like to go back and hug you more in difficult times, even though there has never been a shortage of hugs between us.”

Eros Ramazzotti never lost the look of the singer at the beginning who in 1984 went on stage at the Ariston winning the Sanremo Festival in the category New proposals with the timeless Promised Land, and perhaps this is its secret: embodying that purity that has never changed shape. And indeed that today, having become the grandfather of little Cesare born from the love between his daughter Aurora and her partner Goffredo Cerza, he is even stronger.
