Communication with the president of Russia Vladimir Putin had on Thursday (29/9) o Recep Tayyip Erdogan just one day before Russia ratified it annexation of Ukrainian territories occupied by the Russian army. “Give the negotiation a chance,” the Turkish president reportedly told the counterpart, referring to Ukraine.
Turkish media reported that Recep Tayyip Erdogan called on the Russian president to “give another chance to the negotiation” and reiterated Turkey’s willingness to help end the war in Ukraine.
The Turkish president also reiterated that cooperation with Russia for the seamless export of Russian grain and fertilizers will continue.
For his part, the Russian president described the leaks in the Nord Stream natural gas pipelines as an “international act of terrorism”.
